About

Lucía Morillas Becerril was born in 28/03/1992 in Madrid, Spain. In 2014 she received her BSc in Chemistry at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid under the supervision of Prof. Tomás Torres discussing the thesis “Preparation of Phthalocyanines for their application in Solar Cells”. In 2016 she received her MSc in Nanoscience at Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg under the supervision of Prof. Max von Delius discussing the thesis “Building Blocks Towards Mechanically Interlocked Synthetic Carbon Allotropes”. During her Master studies she worked as a Research Assistant in the group of Prof. Dirk M. Guldi and Prof. Max von Delius, working on the characterization of novel nanographene/porphyrin hybrids and synthesis of novel architectures based on orthoesters, respectively. In 2020 she obtained her PhD in Molecular Sciences at the Università degli Studi di Padova under the supervision of Prof. Fabrizio Mancin discussing the thesis “Smart, self-organized polymeric nanoparticles for targeted delivery of nucleic acids”. After a Postdoctoral position in the same group, she is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in the group of Prof. Luisa de Cola working on drug delivery for lung diseases in collaboration with Chiesi Farmaceutici S.p.A
